The team of staff at ABAC Pty Ltd have provided project and programme management services on numerous projects in various market sectors.

From the outset we are the client’s independent representative providing advice and assurance on each project representing the client’s interests first and foremost at every stage of the development process.

 

To us, effective project management means a proactive risk management and ensuring the project is conceptualised, designed, and built in the most cost effective and timely manner, consistent with the client’s objectives and the approved business case (and associated project baselines).

Our Project Management service covers the management of all phases of the project from inception through to completion and O&M including (not limited to) the following activities:

    • Project initiation – initial project briefing, project planning and setting directions
    • Master planning and strategic planning including feasibility studies, and project options appraisal
    • Value management studies and early consultant advisory services (working together with an early contractor and project design teams delivering ECI services)
    • Project Management Framework and PM Plan including Gateway design and Project Charter
    • Risks identification and analysis, responding to reduce potential impact, proposing mitigation measures, and setting contingency plans
    • Preparation of development briefs and Scope of works (SoW)
    • Project planning and scheduling / programming
    • Appraisal of Concept design options
    • Management of the design development stage (Concept, Schematic, and Detailed Design)
    • Designing procurement strategy (consultants, contractors, O&M contractors)
    • Administering tender process, and tender evaluation (technical & commercial), contract documentation and award
    • Project financial control and cost reporting according to our Cost and Commercial Management framework and best practices
    • Management of project delivery and contract administration processes, and progress and status reporting following best practices
    • Project commissioning and hand-over, and pre-opening and management of the DLP stage
    • Assist in the matters related to a project’s financial and legal closure
    • Program and / or Portfolio of projects and risks management services.
